After months of renovation, and thanks to a grant secured by the council there is now a new creative hub in town called the Market House Studios.
The new creative studio spaces are part of Fleetwood Market complex, above the market and have been designed to be fully flexible to suit/accommodate most makers/creatives and artists. There is a mix of studio sizes which can be shared by a collective or individuals. It is designed to be affordable for all, and offers flexible working times.
The concept is to offer space for all creatives to make in the studio and sell in the market. As part of the studio project there is dedicated market area where all those creatives using the studio space can showcase and sell their creations.
The intention is to bring creatives together, offer space for all ages and budgets.
All hirers are offered the use of the communal kitchen and time-out area. This consists of high benching and stools and sockets for laptop use, a large open garden terrace area and toilet facilities. Support from the studio Coordinator and use of the market place for selling.
The full time Studio Coordinator is Adrian Pritchard a Wyre born and Blackpool based artist who manages bookings and the daily running of the studios.
The Community space can be hired out for creative courses and events at reasonable rates.
